Asande

Asande has had a vibrant personality from day 1. She is curious, brave, chatty and probably one of the happiest little girls you'll ever come across.

From a very young age, she's been obsessed with pink - I very clearly remember dressing her in something non-pink once and it resulting in tears 🥵 this also goes to show: Asande knows what she wants and does not hesitate to express it (which I think is a GREAT personality trait)!

Two of my favourite things about Asande are her vibrant confidence and her fearlessness. She is always down for fun and makes sure that everyone is included; if one of the smaller Lolla's Light kids is scared or nervous, Asande is always the one to take their hand and reassure them. She is a perfect example of both strength and softness.

After Asande outgrew Peppa Pig, her icon was Elsa from Frozen for a long time - we were all given strict instructions to refer to her as Elsa, and she would wear an old sarong of mine as a cape while performing 'Let It Go' at the top of her lungs. Unfortunately for Elsa, Moana has now taken center stage in Asande's life, but the Frozen chapter was good while it lasted. Asande's life goal has now pivoted from going to Sweden to find Elsa to going to Hawaii to live like Moana.

Having a brother like Alwande means that Asande has not been able to avoid having a favourite soccer player, which is either Haaland or Ronaldo, depending on the day. Her true passions are - and I'm not joking - doing the dishes, doing my hair or helping me cook. I love how she wants to do things together and I'll never get tired of her following me around the house to help me with my chores.

Asande also loves gifting, and leads with generous kindness. If someone's birthday rolls around, or it's a special occasion like Mother's Day, Asande asks if we can go buy flowers and chocolates and presents for the person, which is so kind.
