Faith is our resident fashionista. From a young age, she was interested in fashion and beauty, and now that she's a teenager, she's fully immersed herself in that world. I can't tell you the way her eyes light up when we go to Clicks and she gets to go to the beauty aisle - pure, unfiltered joy! There's no doubt in my mind that she will pursue a career in fashion and be highly successful - with her drive and intelligence, there's not much she can't do.
Faith is currently in Grade 9 at Good Hope Seminary High School and loving it! Her favourite subjects are Digital Technology and Life Orientation.
Faith is also a big lover of dance, and she's really good at it! A big part of what we do at Lolla's Light is encouraging and supporting our kids to pursue their passions, so finding a dance school for Faith is next on the agenda!
On one of our days out together, Faith and I went to the beach. I expected her to be scared of the waves and reluctant to go into the water, but she charged straight into the water and just had the best time swimming around. It was so cool to see how fearless she was and how she just leaned into joy. This is the perfect way to describe her - she's the kind of person who is just happy and carefree and enjoys life to the max.
Faith is Timothy's older sister, and this is a role she cherishes. She looks after her little brother with so much care and love, and it's clear to see that they have an unbreakable bond. These two have each others' backs and are truly the very best of friends.
In early 2023, Faith became seriously ill and was admitted to Karl Bremer hospital where she tested positive for TB. After a few really scary weeks, Faith finally made a full recovery and is back to being her cheerful, loving, wonderful self. We received so much support from the Lolla's Light family at this time and will be forever grateful.
