Therapy TOP Dogs is a wonderful organisation that provides Animal-Assisted Therapy through visits from their certified therapy dogs and trained handlers. Their dogs provide comfort, companionship and emotional support to adults, children and teens in need.
We are so lucky to have partnered with Therapy TOP Dogs, and our kids absolutely love spending time with the dogs and their handlers. We've had a few events together so far, and each one has been such a special day for our kids.

July 2024
Meeting the Therapy TOP Dogs
We kicked off our partnership with Therapy TOP Dogs with a wonderful day at Green Point Park. Our kids got to meet the therapy dogs and their handlers for the first time — and it's safe to say it was love at first sight.
The kids spent the morning walking the dogs, grooming them and getting to know each dog's personality. Each child chose a crocheted "Teddy Pup" to take home as a reminder of their TOP Dog. We rounded off the day with a big lunch in the sunshine.
April 2025
Yoga Day
Our second Therapy TOP Dogs event was a yoga day. The kids were so excited to reconnect with the dogs and their handlers. Our friend Nthupula ran a wonderful yoga session for the kids, who loved every second of it.
After yoga we had lunch in the sunshine, and the kids spent the afternoon playing soccer, exploring the jungle gyms and fishing for tadpoles. It was such a lovely, relaxed day.
July 2025
Karate Day
For our third Therapy TOP Dogs event, we teamed up with Sensei Birgitt from Kids Kicking Cancer to host a karate day at the Yoga Loft studios, who kindly donated the space for us.
The kids warmed up with some stretches before learning karate moves and sequences from Sensei Birgitt. Each child received a special bangle to remind them of their inner strength. The day ended with a big lunch and some delicious desserts.
